In 1893 a tenement house, called Emil Wedel's tenement house, was built at Szpitalna Street in Warsaw. There was a shop and a chocolate pump room on the ground floor, which still exists today where one could meet Bolesław Prus and Henryk Sienkiewicz, famous Polish writers.
